‟Skillcourt and Human Flourishing: Enhancing Teaching and Training Environments” by Cristian Zaharia, Mark Deaton, Noemi Zaharia
Abstract:
This workshop explores how Skillcourt, a neuroscience-based training platform, fosters both cognitive development and humanistic growth in educational and athletic contexts. Skillcourt’s evidence-based modules enhance cognitive decision-making and spatial awareness, cultivating mental agility and situational responsiveness, skills essential for thriving in complex environments. Beyond measurable performance gains, its structured design promotes self-awareness and confidence, empowering individuals to perceive themselves as capable, resilient, and adaptable. To illustrate these principles, participants will engage in rapid decision-making and spatial awareness challenges, followed by guided reflection exercises that connect these experiences to creativity, resilience, and personal growth. These interactive activities demonstrate how simple, low-tech strategies can replicate the benefits of AI-driven technology, inspiring innovative practices in classrooms, gyms, and training environments. Ultimately, this session underscores the importance of integrating cognitive science with humanistic pedagogy to create learning spaces that value both technical skill and holistic development.
